Conflicts of interest

I just got a call on a subject I deal with fairly frequently with nonprofits... activities that are absolutely legal, but appear problematic due to a potential appearance of a conflict of interest. I frequently suggest that nonprofits adopt clear conflict of interest policies to ensure that they always can point to procedures and guidelines to avoid even the appearance of a conflict.
